The staff was mostly pleasant.
My reservations said parking included which it wasn't. Didn't make a big deal, just irritating.

Staff were welcoming and incredible!
Had marvellous and unbeatable location within walking distance of many food spots as well as bars. A lot of food for breakfast, it was appetising.

The hotel is magnificent, beautiful with absolutely gorgeous downtown views. Magnificent setting, really close to the arts district near public transport and many food spots. Plus, 15 minutes drive from Zamzam Well. A mini fridge bar, an individual safe, and an air conditioning available in the fairmont queen room...
Very rude staff!

The location was excellent, providing easy access to local restaurants and attractions. My room was well-appointed with a comfortable bed and a fine city view. The service was attentive, with housekeeping twice daily and complimentary bottled water replenished regularly. The breakfast included a variety of delicious options, both hot and cold, made for a energizing start to the day.
The parking situation was frustrating.

Overall, we had an "only okay" stay at the Fairmont. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the views of downtown Dallas from our 21st floor room, and from the pool on the terrace were pretty amazing. However, after paying a significant amount of money for a one night stay, we had several experiences that made us regret choosing to stay at the Fairmont to celebrate our anniversary. First, my husband called ahead to make sure a bottle of champagne was brought to our room for an anniversary surprise. They told him they had a complimentary anniversary package, (although they never said what it included) and said that they marked it down. When we got to the room, nothing. He ended up having to call the concierge a few hours later letting her know nothing had been delivered. They ended up bringing a bottle of champagne and chocolate strawberries a little later, but the surprise ruined and we were charged for the services. Second, the room was uncomfortably warm. The thermostat read 69.5° (the lowest it could be set) but there is no way it was that cool. The last little things that bothered me were the huge chunk of someone else's hair in the blow dryer, the terrible water pressure in the shower, and the condescending man working at the concierge desk who seemed put out to have to give us directions to dinner. My husband and I kept a positive attitude and enjoyed our time together, but we did so without much help from the Fairmont.
